There is an 18-hole course on Baronscourt Estate, widely recognised as being one of the best inland courses in Northern Ireland. Alternatively, there is a whole series of lovely links along the coast of Donegal. There are nine golf courses in the vicinity, most of which are within thirty-five minutes drive from Belle Isle. All courses have club facilities. Bundoran - 18 hole, championship course, 36 miles. Lessons available, two instructors. This course is one the oldest in the area and on the seafront. Clubs & carts can be hired. Castle Coole (Enniskillen) - 18 hole, parkland course 9 miles. Castle Coole is an old course set in the grounds of Castle Coole, (the National Trust's most important property), and amongst mature trees. 100 years old. Clubs & carts can be hired. Castle Hume - 18 hole, championship course 12 miles. The course has been built recently, well laid out but a bit tight. Clubs, carts & buggys can be hired. Narin & Portnoo Golf Club - 18 hole, links course, 55 miles. Very picturesque course in South-West Donegal. Some very challenging holes. Fintona - 9 hole parkland course 15 miles. This course is set amongst mature trees and was built in 1904. No tolleys. Slieve Russell - 18 hole, champion course, 25 miles. A new course built to the highest standard. Clubs, carts & buggys can be hired. Murvagh - 18 hole, links course, 45 miles. Murvagh is a very beautiful course on the edge of Donegal Bay. Omagh - 18 hole, parkland course, 22 miles. Originally a 9 hole course with another 9 holes added recently. Not very exciting scenery. Clubs & carts can be hired. Rosses Point - 18 hole, links course, 52 miles. This is one of Irelands great championship links, it was founded in 1894 and plays host to the West of Ireland Championship each year. Ashwood Golf Range - 11 miles. Pitch and putt.
